The Charlotte Hornets host the Washington Wizards on Monday night as modest home favorites, despite taking the court without key roster pieces due to injuries.
Charlotte will be missing two key starters, with guard Coby White ruled out due to a left calf injury and forward Kon Knueppel sidelined with a left hamstring strain. Forward Grant Williams also remains out with a right hamstring injury. However, forward Naz Reid was cleared to play despite dealing with an illness, joining a starting five that includes Dennis Schröder, Sion James, Brandon Miller, and Moussa Diabaté. Reid enters the game averaging 20 points and 8.7 rebounds through his first three games with Charlotte, while Miller comes off a 34-point performance against Miami.
The visiting Wizards will be without star rookie AJ Dynbasta. Washington relies heavily on the star duo of Anthony Davis and Trae Young, with Young averaging 22.3 points and 11.3 assists on the season. The Wizards’ lineup also features Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly, and center Alex Sarr.
